In Episode 39, Steph and I reflect on what we have learned so far from listening to the Black Lives Matter Movement. We both recognize that, as white women, we have a lot to learn! We also know that refusing to learn allows racism to continue unchallenged. Steph and I have an honest conversation about Juneteenth, Defund the Police, White Fragility, the effects of “Law and Order” government, and more. We also talk about how Steph’s mental hospital experience supports the idea that the police are being asked to do too much when it comes to non-criminal actions. This is an honest reflection on the importance of listening. Ratings and reviews are welcome, or you can leave a comment at dospod.us.
